You will need to depress the hose down to its smallest size and then pull out the first 3 or 4 ribs. Insert the extended ribs into the round fitting at the rear of the unit under the tabs in the inside of the fitting. Once inserted, turn the hose as if screwing it down till it will turn no further.
Where it is safe to do so, use timers to bring on heavy use appliances during the off-peak period.
Dishwashers, tumble dryers and washing machines could be set to run at these times, providing substantial savings.
Avoid tumble drying clothes wherever possible, as this is an expensive electrical appliance to run, and the alternative is free!
Ensure you heat all of your hot water during the off-peak period, and avoid using any ‘boost’ functions to top up during the day.
Minimise the use of extra heaters in the evening; turning up your storage heaters to take a slightly larger charge will be cheaper.
Use the microwave rather than the oven for foods that can be cooked using either appliance, as microwaves are more efficient.
Insulate your home well, and avoid opening windows and doors unnecessarily.
Change your light bulbs to low consumption, energy efficient replacements.
Only fill the kettle with the amount of water you need.
Do not leave products in ‘stand by’ mode.

All Dimplex Manuals are available to download on our website from the product page. Make sure you pick the correct manual for your appliance.
The heater turns off in the same way that an oven would. If you turn the thermostat down all the way, it will turn off the power.
An alternative if you don’t use the timer function is to push all the timer tabs into the centre (telling the timer to turn off all the time) and use the
timer switch as your on/off button. If you turn the timer switch to timer mode (the clock symbol), then the heater will be off as all your heater settings
are set to be off. If you turn the timer switch to the manual override setting (the “|” symbol), then the heater will turn on to the thermostat setting.
If your CDE2TIB/CDE2TI manual says my heater is a 24 hour timer rather than 7 day timer, this is because some units had the wrong timer listed in their
manual. You can download the correct manual from the product page or for CDE2TI/CDE2TIB here
Please check that you have the snow flake symbol illuminated and check that the required temperature is set.
